Anne Plamondon
Anne Plamondon is a choreographer, dancer and teacher. She first dances with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, before moving to Europe to join the Nederlands Dans Theater 2 (1995-1998), then the Gulbenkian Ballet (1998-2000). During this period, she interprets the works of more than 30 choreographers, among which Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Hans Van Manen, Angelin Preljocaj, Gideon Obarzanek, Paul Lightfoot and Sol León.
She then moves back to Quebec, where she works with artists such as Marie Chouinard and Marcos Moreau. With Crystal Pite’s Kidd Pivot, she partakes in 4 creations, from Lost Action to The You Show. In 2002, Anne joins Victor Quijada to create the RUBBERBANDance group, sharing with him the artistic direction from 2006 to 2015. Within the company, she contributes to more than 10 works for the stage and 3 short films. She is also instrumental in the elaboration of the RUBBERBAND training method, which she now teaches worldwide.
With the help of director Marie Brassard, Anne creates the solos The Same Eyes as Yours (2012) and Night Mechanics (2017).
In 2018, she launches her own company, Anne Plamondon Productions, aiming to produce her own creations and generate new artistic collaborations.
