JP Loignon
Immersed in music since early school, JP Loignon is above all fascinated by timbres and rhythms. His fascination with the texture of sounds quickly led him to acquire synthesizers and digital audio software to create his own sound worlds more freely. His academic path led him to the University of Montreal where he studied jazz singing and electroacoustics. This fusion led him to develop a vocal language with an electronic flavor.
A multi-faceted performer and passionate teacher, his artistic approach propels him further into the exploration of the relationship between the human and technology, the vibrating body and the magnifying machine. He evolves by developing his instrument and his sound universe in which the electro and the voice are the extension of each other.
As a moving chorister in several projects of theater, music and dance, he shines his magnetic joy in the gospel choir of Y’a du monde à messe and in the big family of Belle et Bum. He approaches the stage each time with curiosity and generosity.
