Nicolas Boivin
Nicolas Boivin is from the Saguenay region of Quebec. Dance came into his life at the age of 12. After practicing several urban styles, Nicolas became interested in ballet and contemporary dance. In 2017, he completed his training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, which he calls the school of life. Throughout his career, he has danced in the repertoires and creations of many choreographers, including Angélique Willkie, Darryl Tracy, Hélène Blackburn, Édouard Lock, Marie Chouinard, José Navas, Marc Boivin, Parts+Labour_Danse and Jason Martin. In his work, Nicolas shows generosity and authenticity, allowing him to abandon himself completely to the new material. His positivism and thirst for learning and self-improvement drive him on. Nicolas is also a member of Corpus Collective, a Montreal-based dance collective with which he has participated in numerous projects, including dance videos and the TV show Révolution. Since his professional debut, he has worked with PPS Danse, notably for L'École Buissonnière, Attractions and, more recently, Le Trésor. For Nicolas, dance is a story of sharing and transmission. That's why he's pursuing a Master's degree in Arts Education, with the aim of one day being able to pass on his savoir-faire.
