Confidences d’un corps is based on the concepts of memory, reminiscence and resonance of the body. In a face to face with the spectator, Pierre-Paul Savoie delivers a human, unique testimony that reaches the universal. The places of memory of his personal history serve as a basis for this artistic reflection on origins, childhood, family, education and transmission.

The play is inspired by the writings of David Wojnarowicz and William S. Burroughs and draws on their social criticism and reflects the poetry, humour and revolt of these artists.

The choreographic work probes the inner dialogue between the rational and the emotional, between the cerebral and the instinctive, between the acquired and the innate. Power relations. Exchanges of power. A search for balance in constant mutation. In a visual environment that suggests the denaturalization of the human being and the artificiality of his condition, open-hearted thinking beasts driven by the instinct for survival and the quest for harmony oppose each other.

Inspired by the novel Le grand vestiaire de Romain Gary and the theatre of the absurd, the play depicts the distress of an aging man, who intertwines present and past, revealing in touches the layers that make up this extraordinary character.
