le trésor
Dance – Songs - A puppet - A world of a thousand discoveries
Inspired by a deep attachment to chanson, Pierre-Paul Savoie (1955-2021) has drawn on the Québécois musical repertoire to create Le Trésor, his latest interdisciplinary creation. Songs by Vigneault, Léveillée and Leclerc combine with those composed by Alexandre Désilets, Alexis Dumais and Lise Vaillancourt (lyrics) to set the framework for a choreography that oscillates between ardor and poetry, gentleness and tonicity. Richard Morin's visual universe is transposed onto the stage, which comes alive with enchanting movement. Le Trésor casts a luminous eye on childhood, on the joy, freedom and spontaneity of play, and on the complicity shared with pets, in this case a cat, guardians of our most intimate secrets. Rooted in the values of humanity, fraternity and sharing, Le Trésor reveals the greatness of the little ones.
One rainy day, two children - a brother, a sister and their cat Piano - are confined to the house, their noses glued to the windows. Boredom quickly gives way to creativity, which magically unfolds before the spectators' eyes. Their spontaneous creations offer a lucid, poetic and touching vision of childhood.
