Dance Lhasa Dance. An ode to life
Warmly welcomed at the moment of its creation in 2011, Danse Lhasa Danse finds here a new breath. While emphasizing a diversity of genres and writing in contemporary dance, the show, through dozens of choreographed songs, imposes a unified atmosphere, hushed. The meticulous creative process that led to it gives the show a structure as captivating as the work of Lhasa could be.
A choral work, the production brings together about fifteen performers who magnify, through subtle meshes, a unique repertoire that reaches the audience in the depths of their souls. Bïa, Alexandre Désilets and Karen Young, accompanied by seven dancers and five musicians, wear Lhasa’s words with brilliance.
– On choreographies by Myriam Allard, Hélène Blackburn, David Rancourt, Edgar Zendejas and Roger Sinha and directed by Pierre-Paul Savoie.
